GoodNews Terms

These Terms govern the use of the GoodNews browser extension and any related hosted services made available through GoodNews or Linnra.

GoodNews is a browser extension that helps users hide heavy or unwanted social-feed topics on supported sites. Supported features may include local filtering, optional hosted feedback sharing, passwordless account sign-in, and hosted subscription management.

3. Eligibility and accounts

You are responsible for using GoodNews lawfully and for keeping access to your browser profile and email account secure. If sign-in is enabled, you are responsible for the activity connected to your GoodNews account.

4. Premium subscriptions

GoodNews Premium is an optional paid subscription. Checkout, tax handling, invoicing, and billing management are handled through Paddle as merchant of record. Premium access continues only while the subscription remains active or otherwise entitled.

5. Cancellation and billing changes

You can manage or cancel your subscription using the hosted billing management flow made available from the extension. Cancellation affects future renewals and does not automatically create a refund for charges already processed, except where required by law or our refund policy.

We may update, improve, or discontinue features over time. We aim to keep the service available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Some features may change as social platforms or technical requirements evolve.

8. Consumer rights

Nothing in these Terms limits rights that consumers may have under applicable law, including mandatory rights under German or EU consumer law where applicable.

9. Liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, GoodNews is provided on an as-available basis. We are not responsible for losses caused by third-party platform changes, internet outages, or events outside our reasonable control. Mandatory statutory liability remains unaffected.
